After logging on to my aol account this morning I came across a
Huffington Post article about a
confrontation that occured between the Arizona Governor Janice Brewer and our President Obama. Now before I could even begin to read this article I was confronted with this picture of the Arizona Governor blatantly waving her finger in the face of my President and became immediately digusted. Of course my first thought was "why in the world does this woman have her finger in the face of my President?" It turns out they were having a heated discussion concerning a book written by the Governor. Truthfully, I could care less what the conversation was about, all I care about is the utter disrespect that is being shown to our President. I could not help but think that if this had been any other of our previous Presidents she would not have dared to wave her finger in his face. I could just imagine her beginning saying "boy, you better not ever......" as she waves her finger in the face of the President of the United States of America.

I felt that I had to say or do something to show support for our President. I know that I am only one person but I could not just sit back and not say or do anything. With this upcoming 2012 Presidential election I know that things are going to get considerably worse with reguard to the disrespect of our President. I am just going to go ahead and say it. President Obama would not have been disrespected in such a way if he was not a black man. That is just the truth as I see it. So, I decided to
contact the Arizona Governor Janice Brewer and let her know how I feel about this situation and I feel that anyone else that feels as strongly as I do about this should do the same. Here is what I had to say:
"Good Morning,
After coming across an article and a picture of a seemingly heated confrontation between yourself and our President upon him landing at the
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport I was compelled to contact you in order express my utter disgust at the complete disrespect that you showed our President.
I feel that no matter how upset you are with someone you should never shake your finger in anyone’s face, especially not in the face of the President or the
United States, unless he or she is your child.
I understand that you may not agree with some (if not all) of his policies but that does not excuse your blatant disrespect of the man that is our President.
I truly feel that if he was any other of our previous Presidents you would not have dared to treat him with that manner of disrespect.
What is done is done and I do not know how this situation can be remedied or if you even care enough to try and do so. However I due believe that an apology is due to the President.
Sincerely,
Takara O’Pharrow"
If you feel compelled to do so please join me in expressing you disapproval of our President. We should come together as a people and let every one know that we will not stand for this.
